Only a Baby to her Momma

Oh what a sad week for me! My youngest baby is turning five in two days. TWO DAYS. She is no longer a "baby", a "toddler", shes a KID. The time flies by so fast I barely can catch my breath.
However...she did just tell me that I'm dead meat today!! Shes just like her Mommy, ya got to luv her!!

Missing and Found

I wanted to write today about a friend of mine, Louise, that has had a nephew missing since 2001. His remains were found over the wknd, positively identifying them on Monday. His family has never given up hope, of him coming home, bc Lorne had schizophrenia. (They had thought he had walked away, after being paranoid over being institutionalized)
I dont know what to say to Lornes family, loss of a loved one is just so hard. I hope that finding him, and giving him a proper burial--will help with the pain of the unknown after so many yrs. Its been too many yrs of heartache already. Now is their time to grieve.

It makes me think of my Aunt, who has been missing since 2003. One of the only missing adults in South Dakota. We have never given up hope, but know that foul play is suspected. I cant imagine if we were to really find her. There have been years that have gone by, without knowing the truth. But to REALLY find her, and to REALLY know that she is gone, would be so hard. I guess that is when reality would hit us hard in the face.

I DID IT!

i FINALLY did it! i am going to go visit my best friend, Ginger. for years we have been saying that will come to visit...and its been put off and put off. not this time, i got my ticket last week and will be there over her birthday.
the only strange thing is...i cant for the life of me imagine my husband doing my daughters hair. i bet both of my kids will look like rug-rats the entire time i am gone. ugh. i think im going to tell him to take a picture of the kids for every day that i am not home--just as a future reference. it should be interesting.
BUT HEY
im going on vacation!!!!

WTF?

Here is a quote from our local newspaper.

"The recent hotel shooting the day before Martin Luther King Day is the precise reason that so many of us do not desire to have more minorities in the Ozarks." Anthony Altman, West Plains

EXCUSE ME? Is he kidding? I am going to write a letter about this. It disgusts me that this was even printed. The funny thing is, since I have lived in Springfield---75% of the crimes committed here have been committed by Caucasians! I will also include all my findings in my letter to the paper. Good Grief. Why is everyone so fricken racist/prejudice? What gives these types of ppl the right to decide what they think is good for the entire population?

Wyatt

A few days ago one of my dearest friends, Ginger, lost her brother in a tragic accident. Wyatt was so caring, easy-going, intelligent..one of those people you cant help but to love. His passing came at an early age of 24. The sorrow I feel for his family I could never put into words. He will be greatly missed, by so many. The greatest thing is that he loved So many, and So many loved him. You will forever be in our hearts Wyatt Ammon!!!!!!

New Baby!

My sister, Lindsey, had her baby boy this morning. He weighs 6 pounds, 7 ounces and is 19 inches long. His name is Andreas Michael, but will be called Andre most of the time. In all, labor went well, and both are doing great!! I am so excited for her and can't wait to meet the new little one!
